Research Project #2: SDLC Models
After doing plenty of research to better understand the SDLC models I've discovered there are many pros and cons with each of the models so it took me quite a little while to decide which one I thought would be the best fit. I didn't want one that couldn't handle a long ongoing project because you never know when you'll need that. So the models that couldn't support the ongoing projects were immediately out of question. After weighing each pro and con I decided I would choose the Agile model. It took a lot of comparing to come to this conclusion but the reason I decided this model would be best fit is because I feel as though all of the pros it had really masked all the cons. They're cons I can look past because the model itself comes with many benefits. Such as it being easy to manage, Functionality can be developed rapidly and demonstrated, Minimal rules, documentation easily employed, etc. Having a model that's easy to manage and can be developed rapidly with minimal rules is exactly what I would look for in a model. Even though it depends on customer interaction and without proper interaction you could be steered in the wrong way i feel as though that would be easier to maintain than a model that can't handle long and oncts. You'll just have to ensure communication skills are strong and you know exactly what the customer needs so you can avoid being steered in the wrong direction. You can even ask them questions throughout if you start to feel uneasy or unsure about your goal. I feel like there's to many pros verse cons with this model to not want to choose it. After doing my research I decided this model seemed like the better fit compared to all of the other ones.
